How did Alfred Wegener discover Pangaea?
Alfred Wegener found many reasons for evidence when he researched about Pangea. One was a mesosaurus, fossils of a reptile that was found in South America and Africa. Another was the glossopteris, an extinct plant found in many continents. Africa's west coast and South Americas east coast sort of fit together to make a puzzle piece. Also there were deposits of plants that grew in warm climates, that were in a cold climate. This tells us that the continents moved around to different climate areas over time.
